Simple Performance Test

Dear All,

I'm currently evaluating different Hardware and OS options for an Application I want to build. Currently I'm looking at AMD Geode LX800 based embedded Systems. I tested various OSes on the System and my final choice is between MS-Server 2003 and Ubuntu Linux. Looking at the cost's... guess what I would prefer :-)

Nevertheless I would like to do some simple performance testing from my machine (VISTA) against the mySQL Server.
very basic.. like Create database, table, 10.000 records, random select, join, union and delete along with some timings.
I just would like to know what system is faster..

Is there anything alike on the market ? I couldn't find something such simple.
