Chris

In the top left of the command window is an Icon, click this and this will show a menu go to edit and you can paste from there.

Alternatively go to the same menu and select properties, select the option tab and then tick the QuickEdit Mode option. You can then cut and paste using the following methods.

Highlight text by holding down the left mouse button and selecting the text.

To copy to the clipboard press the enter key when the text is highlighted.

To past into the window press the right mouse button.

I have just moved from XP to Mac OSX, the best feature is standard support for cut and paste at the command prompt. The second best is being able to drag a file into the terminal window and it puts in the path to the file.
