Re: Can't start MySQL server with "local-infile" - URGENT
I've had to find an urgent workaround, so I 've given all accounts that need it the FILE privilege. They can now read files from the client into the db tables as long as they do NOT specify LOCAL (which is still not allowed).
Very strange - I thought that 'load infile' together with the FILE privilege was only meant for server based files. I guess this works because PHPMyAdmin creates a temp file on the server which it then reads into the table.
Any comments - do all these problems stem from PHPMyAdmin?
