Hey,

I've found a great GUI program for managing mysql databases is <a href="http://cocoamysql.sourceforge.net/">CocoaMySQL.</a>; It's open source and free.

You can also install <a href="http://www.phpmyadmin.net/">phpmyadmin</a>;, which is a web-based, also open source, solution. It does some things that CocoaMySQL doesn't, even though, being a web-based interface, it's much more cumbersome.

And learn the terminal-based monitor, too! You will find a use for all of these tools.
