Thank you for the fast response!!

I changed my web.config string to:

"server=localhost;Database=equinem_db;Data Source=localhost;user id=root@'%';password=XXX;"

and I got the error message:

"Format of the initialization string does not conform to specification starting at index 65."

The reason it took me so long to reply is because I shut the laptop off and allowed Windows Update to run. It just finished.
