error 2003 can't connect to mysql server on 'localhost'
hi guys,
i'm new to the mysQl, i just can't get the sever connected, and i browsed the web, it is said that there is a so called winmysqladmin.exe to make sure whether the server started. but my version(4.1.11-win32) didn't contain that exe file in the mysql\bin\.
some people said the error happen if the server don't start and suggested that i should run the mysqld.exe to started, i tried and nothing happened even no new thread was added in the window's thread list. Still i can't get all the stuff done. so what's the problem? can you help me out?
