what are mysql limitations in database storage capacity and connections, is it best to use for a departmental store

hi friends

i m a newbie to mysql, and i want to know the limitaions of mysql data storage and use connections,

i m in my graduation final, and i need to develope a project, so i want to develope a inventory control for a departmental store, the system should be capable of handling one years inventory data, where around 2000 to 2005 average transactions held per day,

i want to use mysql, but i m in doubt wether it supports datastorage required by my project
