I recently installed wamp server unto my computer every thing seems to work fine but i cannot connect to phpmyadmin. i have a feelling its because my pre installed mysql server has a password. how do i set a password for phpmyadmin so that it can connect to mysql.
the error message i recieve is:
Error
MySQL said: Documentation
#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.
Open new phpMyAdmin window
basically i guess what i am asking for is how to configure the username and password for phpmyadmin so that it can connect to mysql
thanks
