Moving Databases - I need help!

Hello,
I have a big problem: I'm moving my website (http://www.bretonnia.org) to a new server. Unfortunately, on the new server an older version of mySQL is installed:
- on old server was 4.1.10 version
- on *new* one is 3.23.58 version.
I have a serious problem now - when I try to import my database, it says it can't read certain parts of the code (like 'defalut charset' or 'engine'). What can I do in this case? Note, that I cannot update any of those version...
