OK, i figured it out myself. I was trying to run an "ADODB.Command" and execute it as a recordset. This is not an option with my version of MySQL! using an "ADODB.Command" WAS an option with MSSQL. So, now it works when i put the select text as a recordset.open...
maybe, some day, this will help someone. *SIGH*
