thank-you very much Jay. I have a couple more questions for you if its not too much trouble.
Firstly the licesning of MySql, I have no idea is it free because its open source. Ultimately I would like to know how much it would cost to buy MySQL and how much it would cost per use connecting to it. If its free can I still sell software I make that runs on top of it.
Secondly, I was wondering if you knew of any books that have information on setting up mysql and accessing it through C++ (im sure I can learn of the internet but a book is always handy). I noticed your book in your signature it seems like the book for me but does the programming section include C/C++
