Calculate

I trying to find answer already couple of days.
Maybe someone could help me.
I keep in mysqlp table formulas ( in varchar field ) like
120/2+15
In other table I keep result of calculation. Sometime I need to check / refresh the result of calculation.
But neither
Select myfield*1 ...
nor other tries like CAST didn't help. Please advise.
