Client Does not support authentication protocol

Hi everyone,

I'm getting the following error when I try to connect to my MySQL server database using any PHP programs:

Fail: [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client MySQL connection can't be established!

I found the solution, but I just don't understand how to impliment the solution. As this is my first time using PHP to connect to a MySQL database so i'm clueless.
