Running create/insert commands from textpad

Just a quick one, am just getting to grips with MySQL and need to know how to import my create and insert statement from textpad, including .extensions / filepaths.

i hgave been using the source command but this does not seem to wok. i think it could be the directory that i am wporking from... the fikle is in C:\mysql and i have tried the bin folder as well

any help would be much appriciated
