Can't say I have found it full of bugs. It depends on what version your using, are you talking about version 5.0.x, if so this is a pre release and by no means a stable product and is offered as such.
I'd also like to hear what issues your having. MySQL are brilliant are responding and issuing fixes to bugs (which most of the time turn out to be OS problems or a misunderstanding).
I've talked to a number of people in the industry and they all agree what an impressive product MySQL is.
