i just started using mysql today.
absolutely green
so, some dummy questions:
1. what is the file extension of mysql database.
(i have used mssql before, there are .mdf and ldf for a single database, so can anybody tell me the counter part of them in mysql?)
2. i have checked the data directory where it is supposed to hold the database files, there are 2 database currently up and running on mysql server.
one of them, namely database1, which i found the directory of it contains a .frm and a .opt file. the other database, namely test, has only a .frm file. so, what's going on?
