Upgrade MySQL from 32 Bit to 64 Bit

I'm very new to MySQL and about a year ago I installed a 32 bit version of MySQl for developers. Then I upgraded my workbech to what I hope is the 64 bit version. That is workbench 6.0.9.

What I don't know or understand is how would I upgrade my server to a 64 bit version. When I first downloaded MySQL it installed everything on it's own. I just had to click yes to the defaults. Now that I want to upgrade my server to 64 bit I'm not sure how to do it. Can anyone give me some advice how to do the upgrade.
