New connections not showing in Logs
I have MySQL server setup on my Linux laptop.
I needed to enable both General and Error logs, which I achieved by modifying my.cnf, then restarting MySQL server.
The logs are working, insofar as the new log files have been created, and both now show recent entries.
However, when I connect MySQL Workbench from another PC, I see nothing in either log. Likewise, when I connect to a database from Openoffice on the same PC, this is also not showing up in either log.
Q1. Should connections/disconnections show up in either log?
Q2. If so, what may I have overlooked?
