You do a great work out there - a big, big, warm thank you for that!
I am just setting up a test-win7 vm to play and i asked the customer if he could build a copy of the master from the image we took before upgrading to 5.1 (no answer till now).
I am with you - we have the cp850 data in latin1 fields. Could it be enough to change the table definitions on the slave before dumping the data in?
My problem with the master is again that i am not allowed to stop it - we have to wait for the next downtime Window, which can take weeks. So a solution on the slave side would be preferrable.
