I'm sorry. I been trying to understand what you wrote for a good while, but I'm not getting it. When you say hero_id_index, what is that representing? To be clear, each match has three heroes in it, all with their own hero_id which points to one of the rows in the heroes table. Also, I don't understand what the m and h are in the query. Sorry for my nubness. >_<
