Assuming you are running on Windows...
a)Windows (x86, 32-bit), MSI Installer -- the MSI should start on its own; this is the simplest way.
b) Windows (x86, 32-bit), ZIP Archive -- you get a collection of files
c) MySQL Workbench -- that's a separate tool; useful, but it is not the "server".
Wampserver is another way to go -- it installs MySQL, PHP, Apache, and a couple of tools.
There are (or were) other packages like that.
