Thanks -- I did have an error in my references and now it works... but this still strikes me as very inefficient.
I guess what I'm asking is -- if I have a piece of data I can use to get a value from the db, and I need to use that value to find another piece of data in the db... do I have to make two queries, or can they be combined?
