Ok, I did that and this is what I got:

C:\Users\kxiiit>"C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.6\bin\mysql" mysql
-uroot -p
Enter password: *****
ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

What can I do to resolve the failed connection to 'localhost'?
