Server quit without updating the PID file
Hi all, first time installing MySQL on Mac. I've had small issues with MySQL running smoothly and I'm now getting the 'Server quit without updating the PID file' error. The PID file it references in the error does not exist, only a file with the same name except it ends in '.err'. I deleted this file and tried restarting MySQL but the error comes back.
Is there a good way to uninstall MySQL and start over? I've tried following some online steps but all the steps don't seem to work so I'm not sure if I'm actually uninstalling all components of MySQL. Does anyone have some good steps to follow to uninstall?
Thanks,
