Is such software licensed/ certified/ tested to run on MySQL?
If the standard configuration limits table names to 64 characters, then any package that expects to use longer ones isn't going to sell very well.
Also, if it's relying on being able to store "data" values in the names of database entities, then I would argue it's not very well designed!
