This comment was an observation error. It indeed generates this error regardless of where this dump is run.

The monitor is not running any mysql. I don't even know what general_log and slow_log do or why they are needed. I only created them to try and get rid of the error. Now that they exist, I still get the error so I am stumped.

Not as far as I know. The current version is 5.0.95-5.
