Hi Peter,
I just redownloaded the workbench again and had the same message for a port rejection of port 3306.
So I took the server out and went for the latest version of the server 5.7 something.
The first download got to 1 second and stuck their for at least 30 minutes.
So I did it again and this time the time left was 0 sec.
I would like to thank you and your friends for their help and information. This also goes for the other people too, but I am starting to believe that MySQL is a fake and does nothing in spite of the forum.
At least for me. If you can still figure out what the problem might be with the message for a rejection of port 3306; I would be very grateful until then I think I will study Python and master it. I think it is better anyway, much less code to write. By the way remember the Dick Tracey days, well, when I was 7 or so I put the code for the alphabet & numbers on paper using 1's & 0's somewhat like the computer uses today. Wow I did not understand what I did then but code some things. Maybe I should get into Python and master it.
Bye for now much grass
Leroy
