Getting up and started in Windows XP
Hi. I'm completely new to this forum, databases and MySQL. I hate to admit this, but I'm running a a machine with Windows XP on it. I can't change that. I've downloaded the MySQL essential 5.0.41 file and the MySQL Workbench 6.1.
I'm curious if these are the versions I should have download for my XP machine and also whether I should download the full installer with all the other appliactions. (For example, as an Rxcel user I'd love to use the MySQL for excel product!)
Soes anyone have any tips to get started, or know of a good tutorial that can lead me through the installation process and the development of my database?... I know I'm asking for a lot but I really need the hand holding right now. Thanks!
