the "my.ini" file already wasn't exist in the istallation directory
but when i copied it to the installation directory and execute the following command mysqld --defaults-file="C:\mysql\my.ini" the first part of the error message disappeared
but i still have the other part "ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: NO)"
i can't overcome it unless i execute this command "mysql -uroot -p"
i don't know why i can't just write "mysql"
