Hi

Thank you Jonathan for your reply. I want to configure mysql replication ,in that case I created the my.cnf file in /etc/ location,however after I filled the configuration details in my.cnf,I restart mysql ,but it wasn't started ,below
error message generated.

"ERROR! The server quit without updating PID file (/var/lib/mysql/TestsVR.pid)".

Even though I tried many ways to solved this problem by searching Internet,but non of them were not successful.


Well I noticed if I delete all the content in my.cnf file,the mysql database started.Therefore please let me know any solution for this matter.
