No i did not restore from backup. The windows 10 upgrade just removed my wamp install and after reinstall, all my old myISAM files where found and I was able to browse them using myphpadmin. All my innoDB files are now added/seen as MYisam files, which they where not! For some reason the WAMP resinstall added them to the system tables or other files as myisam, why is that and as i says I have been unable to find a techical description within the web or books which explains how flat files are read and interpreted by mysql, so I can understand why this happended and how to correct it. I am well able to read a file from within a program, change some bits and write them back, so the files are recocnised as innodb, but how does this technically work?
The alter command suggested in this thread gives a tablenm does not exist.
