Yes, the webpage displays correctly. Most probably because it is also the webpage that writes the data?
Can I change the charsets?
If there is no way of fixing the extisting table I will use decode(field,'ã¶','ü,..and so on) or something like that to fix the characters. Allthough I prefer fixing the problem.
I am still learning and I am new to mysql (only used oracle before) and besides fixing this issue I would like to find what is wrong (who knows if I might run into similar issues in future)
