Downgrading Impossible or just ridiculously hard
I am running a Linux Centos 7 system and the company I am working for wants to upgrade there servers from 5.6 to 5.7. which is fine and dandy and easy but the company also wants to be able to switch between 5.7 and 5.6 but as ive come to find out if you have 5.7 its impossible to remove 5.7 and when i try to install 5.6 It corrupts the tables and ive gone into mysql and tried to format the tables there following MySQL's website instructions as well as following there uninstall instructions which dont seem to work at all. If someone can give me very clear and concise step by step instructions on how to uninstall or downgrade MySQL thatd be awesome.
P.S. I am using the systemd version and trying to downgrade from the terminal.\
