My host uses mysql 4.0.16 which as far as I know doesn't support Hebrew letters or utf8 for that matter. Does anyone know of a way in php to encode the characters since php actually does recognize the Hebrew letters. That is to say the Hebrew word would be entered by the user. Then PHP would have a specific character for each hebrew letter that it did support, and it would change the word to that which would be unreadable but i don't care cus PHP would decode it when it would pull it from the database using the exact opposite process. I think it's a good idea. My php just isn't strong enough to do it.
