duplicate entry error on primary key?

I'm trying to convert an MS SQL 2000 database to my newly beloved MySQL using the Migration Toolkit (also beloved). It's a huge and complex database, so I've had a few expected snags with data types and such, but now I'm hitting one I find utterly puzzling.
From the Migration Completed Report:
Duplicate entry '18' for key 1
Duplicate entry '208' for key 1
Duplicate entry '559' for key 1
Duplicate entry '821' for key 1
Duplicate entry '1028' for key 1
Duplicate entry '1222' for key 1
Duplicate entry '1395' for key 1
[... rows deleted ...]
Duplicate entry '4408' for key 1
0 row(s) transfered.
This is only happening for one table, AppPubItems, which just happens to be the most critical table in the db.
Key 1 is, I assume, the primary key, in this case an integer column called ItemID. But when I look at the database, unsurprisingly, there are no duplicate entries for those rows at all.
Why does the migration wizard seem to think there are? Does anyone know a way to address this? I can't find the term "duplicate entry" in this forum, so I'm a bit nervous...
