1. I would expect (without knowing for a fact) that Workbench calls mysqldump, which does not copy views and SPs unless they are explicitly called for by special arguments.
2. There are cases, such as the initial setup of a Slave, where one does not want to copy some of those things, especially Triggers.
It seems reasonable to write a bug report ( bugs.mysql.com ) against Workbench, saying that those objects should be dumped by default, and that Workbench should have some 'obvious' way to select/deselect the dumping of them.
