Hi KimSeong,

I know that MySQL does not support parallel execution, which is what I propose to sponsor with 1000$ if implmented.

Since I posted I have also read (http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/databases/2006/08/10/mysql-federated-tables.html?page=4) that "Aggregate functions with federated tables are extremely expensive". I find this to be most peculiar as I cannot see any reason whatsoever for implementing such behavior. This missing functionality makes it much more interesting to look into using MySQL Proxy for parallel execution.
