Hey Rick,

I'm looking at 100M+ rows per day.

What I meant about the insert/selects was, if I only did day partitioning and created duplicate tables by years, I would have to dynamically choose the table based on the year I was looking up.

I think the solution here, then, is one table partitioned by year and day, and the daily script you mentioned to add a new and remove the old partition to prevent hitting the limit.
