Can't Successfully Install MySQL 5.0 on Win2K3 Server SP1
Hi,
I'm relatively new to MySQL and having a problem getting the DB installed. I downloaded and tried to install the latest version of MySQL, Community Edition 5.0.22. I try using the MySQL Install Instance Wizard, and when it tries to start the Windows Service it creates, it fails to start. It generates Event ID 7034 when trying to start up and never succeeds. Any ideas on how to resolve this? We haven't been able to finish a DB instance install, so we're unable to use the DB.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
