Can't find mysql_config

Hello everyone,

Im running OSX 10.5.5, installed mysql with FinkCommander, and am running perl v5.8.8

I'm trying to create a perl script to interface with MySQL but hit a snag when trying to install the perl DBD:mysql module:

Cannot find the file 'mysql_config'! Your execution PATH doesn't seem
not contain the path to mysql_config. Resorting to guessed values!

PLEASE NOTE:

For 'make test' to run properly, you must ensure that the
database user 'jd' can connect to your MySQL server
and has the proper privileges that these tests require such
as 'drop table', 'create table', 'drop procedure', 'create procedure'
as well as others.

mysql> grant all privileges on test.* to 'jd'@'localhost' identified by 's3kr1t';

You can also optionally set the user to run 'make test' with:

perl Makefile.pl --testuser=username

to set this directory. For details see the INSTALL.html file,

mysql_config is missing, and it is not contained in /sw/share/mysql where fink installed mysql to.

A search of the system found no mysql_config.

Is there any way I can generate the file, or is there any way I can install the DBD:mysql module without mysql_config?
