Hello buddies,

I spent nearly 5 hrs in installing my sql 5.0.

Finally is achieved it as follows.

if the error appears, simply uninstall it through control panel--> add or remove the program. Then go to the path where it is previously installed.(for me it is C:\program files\MySql) delete the Mysql folder manually. Try again the installation process. Now It wroks.

Try it. For higher versions. Use the same procedure and in the option Modify security settings leave blank for the first option(Current root password).
Fill the next two options as you wish(New password and confirm password).
