Re: Fatal error: Can't open and lock privilege tables: Table 'mysql.host' doesn't exist

Is there a way for my to choose the directory I want to install mysql, instead of using the default? Even though I am in the /usr directory when I run the addpkg command, it still creates everything within the /opt/mysql/mysql directory. I don't know if that makes a difference, but I have not seen any instances or references of anyone else having their installation in this directory.

Sorry for all the questions.
