Starting MySQL.The server quit without updating PID file
Dear All,
I have a critical issue.
I had mysql 5.0, on RHEL(Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5) mistakenly some file misplaced, so mysql stopped working. My RHEL is not registered with RedHat.
I removed mysql, and trying to install upper version MySQL-server-5.5.32-1.linux2.6.i386.rpm. It's installed but when i try to start mysql, it gives message
.......................................................
[root@testingserver mysqldb]# /etc/init.d/mysql start
Starting MySQL.The server quit without updating PID file (/[FAILED]mysql/testingserver.dentsu.in.pid).
.......................................................
Please help anyone, who faced this issue earlier.
Thanks
Shailesh
