Installs in wrong folder

Hello,

This may have been answered, but I can't find a specific reference in the forums.

Whenever I install MySQL server, it installs in the wrong folder. On my Windows 7 machine, it seems to favour the Canon Web Ex software folder that I have for my local printer at home (I never actually use the software in question).

I have uninstalled everything I can find to do with MySQL and also deleted the service instance. During installation I specify a suitable path for installation, but it continually installs in the wrong place.

How do I get the server to install in somewhere more suitable? It's nice to have an MSI installer to do all the work, but it's not much good if it ignores the requested settings.
