Mac install

I have looked at several comments online about installing MySQL on a mac but nothing seems to help. I have Mac OSx 10.8 and when I download the .dmg file it appears to install just fine, but then I try to access it through terminal and it says "mysql: command not found"
I tried sudo find /-name 'mysql' and it still says No such file or directory.
Any suggestions are appreciated!
