FORGOTTEN PASSWORD
I had an old install of 5.1, but I forgot the password, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled 5.1 via CD provided to me in my IP book.
When it gets to the place where you set the new password... MySQL asks for the old password. If I leave it blank, the installation hangs.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall again... nothing. After the uninstall I deleted Program Files/MySQL folder,
Please help me//guide me how to install MYSQL as it is for my study purpose .
