need help connecting to mysql to accept remote connections
I get
Could not connect to host '192.168.1.5'.
MySQL Error Nr. 2013
Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet',
system error: 0
my sql.cnf is
#skip-external-locking
bind-address = 0.0.0.0
i can connect to 127.0.0.1
but not to 192.168.1.5 which is my eth0 ip
i tried adding a user row in mysql database user table but it still does not connect
iam using MySQL 5.1.41-3ubuntu12 and MySQL Client Version 5.1.39
please help
