Migrating MySQL installation to SSD (second HD)

Hi guys,

I've just added an SSD onto my Mac Pro desktop. I already have a standard hard disk, so the SSD is mounted as a second disk and does not contain the main OS (mountain lion).

I want to be able to move the MySQL onto the SSD so that all of the data requests are processed through this drive. Is there a simple way to do this? I understand that you cannot install mysql outside of the OS root. I also have no intention of migrating my OS onto the SSD, as this disk is relatively small and the space could be put to better use.

If you need more info from me, please ask. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan
