Re: Need To Get "Localhost" Back.
Barry for the umpteenth time I am still getting this error message when I try to log into mysql 5.5! Why why does it think I want the hostname to be "myhpcomputer" instead of "localhost"?
c:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5\bin>mysql -h localhost -u root -p
Enter password: *****
ERROR 1130 (HY000): Host 'myhpcomputer' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server
