Installing 32 bit Mysql Server

I'm using windows 8.1

Since there are no separate .msi installers for 32 bit or 64 bit mysql server 5.6.19, I used the sql installer program. However, it automatically installs 64 bit if I allow it to perform a preconfigured installation. In the custom install screen there is an option for 32 bit but the mysql server selection is disabled. It says because I already have a 64 bit installation on the computer but I'm not sure why.

I have uninstalled all previous mysql files using both the mysql installer, the programs and features menu, removed the service and deleted the following

Program Files\MySql
Program Files (x86)\MySql
ProgramData\MySql
user\appdata\mysql

and anything I could find in the registry.

I'm fairly certain the error has an incorrect description because I tried the installer on another computer running windows 7 which has never had a mysql server installed and it gave the same error.

How can I install mysql 5.6.19 32 bit?
